Built for the first-timer
Coaching that meets you at week zero.
One-to-one coaching for your first 5K: a plan that flexes to your life, guidance on pacing and breathing, and someone checking that you're starting easy enough to keep going.
What's included
Everything you need, nothing to overwhelm you.
- A flexible weekly plan — three sessions a week, written for your starting point and reshaped as you progress. You always know exactly what this week asks of you.
- Pacing & breathing coaching — the single skill most beginners are missing. We find the easy pace where running feels sustainable instead of punishing.
- Check-ins between runs — a steady line to your coach for the "is this normal?" questions, so a small worry never becomes a reason to quit.
- Optional gait analysis — a frame-by-frame look at your form to catch quiet issues like overstriding, delivered as one clear cue at a time.
- A plan for race day — if you want a start line, we'll prepare for it; if you'd rather run your 5K solo, that counts just as much.
The journey to 5K
Three phases you can actually picture.
Move without dread
Weeks 1–3
Short run-walk intervals you finish feeling good. We build the habit of showing up before we build the distance.
Find your easy pace
Weeks 3–6
Walk breaks shrink and running stretches out, anchored to a breathing rhythm that keeps the effort honest and repeatable.
Cover the 5K
Weeks 6–8
The distance comes together at a pace you own — and you cross your first 5K knowing exactly how you got there.
Common questions
The things first-timers actually ask.
I'm really not fit. Am I too out of shape to start?
Almost certainly not. The whole method is built around starting below your limit and building up gradually. We begin with run-walk intervals short enough that the first week feels easy on purpose — that's the point, not a compromise.
How much time does this take each week?
Three sessions, most of them 20–35 minutes early on. The plan is designed to fit around a job and a life, not to take them over.
Do I need a fancy watch or gear?
No. A pair of comfortable shoes and a way to track time is enough to start. We coach by effort and breathing first — the gadgets are optional and come later, if ever.
What if I miss a week or fall behind?
Life happens, and the plan expects it. We adjust rather than cram. Progress in running comes from consistency over months, not from any single perfect week.
Is coaching done in person or online?
Coaching, planning, and check-ins run remotely, so you can train on your own schedule and routes. Gait analysis works from a short video you record and send over.
